The Denplan payment plan provides for the majority of dental treatment to maintain your dental health. The price you pay is dependent on the ‘health’ of your mouth so we carry out regular dental assessments to ensure that your plan is tailored specifically to you. We were delighted to be one of the first practices to achieve Denplan Excel accreditation, and to have maintained it ever since. Excel is a quality standard which has been developed in conjunction with the British Dental Association, The Royal College of Surgeons and most importantly, the Patients Association. Achieving this standard involved an initial training programme and assessment followed by rigorous annual inspections. We have implemented the various strands of the programme throughout the years.
A central feature of Excel is the oral health score, expressed as a simple percentage. The scores are weighted high, so that 75% would be a very low score. As a benchmark, most of our regular patients score in the high 90s - which is ideal. We keep our patients informed about the health of their mouth and teeth so we can work together to prevent problems before they occur.
Excel also incorporates a confidential patient questionnaire. The report compiled from this survey gives us very useful feedback on how we are doing. Questionnaires are given to a random sample of our patients for detailed feedback on our performance.
