Many of our patients pay for their treatment through a monthly dental payment plan arranged for them by Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist. It helps patients budget for their routine dental care and treatment by making regular monthly payments to cover all their dental needs, including hygienist treatment.
Over twenty years experience with Denplan convinces us that it is the best way to care for your teeth. We strongly advise our patients to consider the advantages of the totally preventive approach that Denplan permits.
This payment plan provides for the majority of dental treatment to maintain your dental health. A dental assessment is made so that the price you pay is dependent on the ‘health’ of your mouth. It includes the following treatment, when clinically necessary and where carried out at the practice by your registered dentist:
- Dental check-ups
- Hygiene appointments
- Dental x-rays
- Fillings
- Preventive dental advice and therapy
- Extractions
- Periodontal (gum) treatment
- Crowns, bridges, dentures, inlays (excluding laboratory fees)
- Supplementary Insurance arranged by Denplan, which provides you with worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover and access to Denplan’s 24-hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline
Denplan Excel accreditation
We were delighted to be one of the first practices to achieve Denplan Excel accreditation, and to have maintained it ever since. In simple terms Excel is a quality standard. It has been developed in conjunction with the British Dental Association, The Royal College of Surgeons and most importantly, the Patients Association.
Achieving this standard involved an initial training programme and assessment followed by rigorous annual inspections. We have implemented the various strands of the programme throughout the years.
What's your score?
A central feature of Excel is the oral health score, expressed as a simple percentage. The scores are weighted high, so that 75% would be a very low score. We aim to get all our patients into the high 90's - this is where most regular patients score. The score is recorded at each examination and given to patients in a folder, together with any relevant information cards. The file is brought back and updated at each check-up. The idea is to better inform our patients about their oral health.
Denplan Excel Questionnaire
Excel also incorporates a confidential patient questionnaire. The report compiled from this survey gives us very useful feedback on how we are doing. Questionnaires are given to a random sample of our patients for detailed feedback on our performance.
